You were referred to an expert.
Here's how to talk to them, anytime.
Your expert built a Digital Protégé — a voice-trained AI version of themselves, drawing on what they've approved, that you can talk to without waiting for their calendar to open up. Book a session, pick up the phone, and have the conversation you came for.
What is a Digital Protégé?
A Digital Protégé is a voice-first AI version of your expert. It speaks in their voice, draws on what they've personally trained it on, and can have a real conversation with you — not a chatbot, not a search box, not a forum post. You pick up the phone, the protégé answers, and you talk through whatever you came to talk about.
It's available when your expert isn't. Late at night before a deadline. Sunday afternoon. The moment you realize you need an answer. The protégé is on call.
It's not the same thing as ChatGPT. Generic AI tools know a little about everything. Your expert's protégé knows what your expert knows, in your expert's voice, with your expert's frameworks — because they built it.
Four steps. Most of it just happens.
Book
Pick a time on your expert's page, or book on the spot. No discovery call, no calendar dance. Most sessions are minutes from booking to ringing.
Connect
You get a session link. Click it, the protégé calls. Browser, phone, whichever your expert has set up. Voice-first. No prep questions.
Talk
Ask what you came to ask. The protégé will answer in your expert's voice, working from your expert's actual methodology. If the protégé doesn't know an answer, it says so — and either looks it up live or routes the question back to your expert.
Get the recap
Right after the call, you get a written summary, the highlights, the action items, and the recording. So you can replay the conversation, share what matters with your team, or come back to a detail later.
Drop a document. Your protégé reads it. Your space stays yours.
If your expert has Codex enabled, you can hand the protégé real documents — a contract, a P&L, a 360 review, a brief, anything you'd normally walk into a meeting with. The protégé reads it before or during your session, and the conversation is anchored in your actual situation.
Your Codex space is yours alone. Scoped per-client, per-session. No other client of that expert ever sees what you uploaded. The expert can't read or export your documents directly — the protégé surfaces them inside your session, and that's it.

Built for sensitive conversations.
Apex Replicant is built for the kinds of conversations where details matter — legal, medical, financial, career. Conversations are private. Recordings stay with you and your expert. The platform is SOC 2 Type II readiness-aligned, with row-level isolation on every piece of data your protégé can see.
The specifics — what's logged, what's retained, where data lives — are written up plainly on the security page so you can read them before you bring something private into a session.

Common questions clients ask.
- Is this AI, or am I actually talking to my expert?
- You're talking to your expert's Digital Protégé — a voice-trained AI built on what your expert has personally approved. The voice is your expert's. The methodology is your expert's. What you're hearing isn't a generic AI; it's the AI version your expert curated. Your expert is the human behind it, but they're not on the call.
- What if the protégé doesn't know an answer?
- The protégé says so. It won't guess or make something up. Depending on how your expert has it set up, it can search their library live during the call, route the question to your expert for follow-up, or hand you the next step. Honesty about its limits is built in.
- Can I talk to the actual expert instead?
- Yes. Most experts offer human sessions alongside protégé sessions — usually at a different price point. The protégé page on your expert's profile will show both options if they're available.
- How do I cancel or reschedule?
- Use the booking confirmation email — it has a link to reschedule or cancel. If you can't find it, your expert's page has a contact path. Specific cancellation windows depend on your expert's policy.
- Is my conversation private?
- Yes. Session recordings, transcripts, and any documents you upload via Codex are scoped per-client, per-session — your expert sees what they need to coach you well; other clients of that expert never see what you brought to your session. See /security for the full architecture.
- Can I save the recording?
- Yes. Every session generates a recording and a written summary, available in your client portal. You can download both, share them with your team if you want to, or come back to them anytime.
- How is this different from ChatGPT or another generic AI?
- ChatGPT knows a little about a lot of things, in the voice of nobody in particular. Your expert's protégé knows what your expert knows, in your expert's voice, with your expert's frameworks — because your expert is the one who built it. It's the difference between asking the internet and asking the person who taught the internet.

Most clients have heard 'go talk to my digital version' from an expert they already trust. Bring whatever you'd bring to that conversation. The protégé will be ready.
