How much does
Apex Replicant cost?
You choose how you get paid. Clients pay per session (you keep the majority), or you pay a usage rate and sessions are free to clients, or your company buys seats for internal use. There is no setup fee in any model. CODEX, our document-intelligence add-on, is 49 dollars per month or 399 per year. Everything else is usage-driven.

What it looks like at $150/hour.
Set your rate. Your protege handles the session. The revenue shows up in your account.
Your take at a $150 rate, after the 30% platform share.
Passive income from 20 hours of protege time, while you keep doing the work only you can do.
20 client sessions at 10 minutes each = 200 minutes = 3.33 hours at $40/hour, about $133/month in infrastructure. A single new client conversion from your protege can return 10 to 100 times that in one engagement. For attorneys: one viable case at a $15,000 settlement value is roughly a 112x return on that month's spend.
Three questions land you on the right tier.
- 1.Are your clients willing to pay per session? Choose Client Pays.
- 2.Are your clients already paying you (course, book, community)? Choose Expert Pays.
- 3.Is this for internal use at a company? Choose Corporate.
Frequently asked
- How are sessions billed?
- Per session, based on actual voice-minutes. Automatic charge at session end. No monthly invoicing unless you request it (Corporate).
- What's the difference between Client Pays and Expert Pays?
- Client Pays: your client is charged per session and you receive a payout on your split. Expert Pays: you pre-fund credits at a usage rate and your clients see no payment wall. Same product, different cash flow.
- Is there a free tier?
- No permanent free tier. Every expert gets a private sandbox for testing their own protege before going live. Client-facing sessions are metered.
- Are there setup fees?
- No setup fees in Client Pays or Expert Pays. Corporate deployments may include an onboarding fee depending on scope.
- Can I change models later?
- Yes. Move from Client Pays to Expert Pays (or vice versa) at any time. Your existing clients and KB carry over.
- How do refunds work?
- Session-level refunds can be issued from your dashboard. Stripe-originated refunds flow through the same path as the original charge. Automated refund handling is partial. Contact support for anything edge-case.
- Do I pay for sessions that hit my protege's knowledge gap and end early?
- Voice-minutes are billed on actual time. A short session costs less than a long one. If the session was cut short because the protege acknowledged it didn't have the information, that's a signal to update your KB. The session itself is billed normally.
- What about Stripe fees?
- Stripe takes standard processing fees on Client Pays. Your take-home percentage is calculated after Stripe. Our platform fee is separate and flat.
- What's the referral program?
- Every expert gets a referral code. Experts who sign up through your code attribute their activity to you for 30 days. You earn a commission on their first billed period.
- How much does CODEX cost, and is it required?
- 49 dollars per month or 399 per year. Never required. Turn it on only when your sessions benefit from client-supplied documents.
- Is there a platform fee or free trial?
- Every expert account starts with a 14-day free trial of the Foundation tier. After the trial, the Foundation Platform fee is $12.78/month and covers the platform itself (your protege, knowledge base, dashboard, refinement loop). Per-session billing (Client Pays) and per-hour usage (Expert Pays) are separate from this subscription.
